Government and Community Affairs

On behalf of Emory, the Office of Government and Community Affairs (OGCA) advocates on a wide range of issues impacting our institution, including higher education policy, health care, and research.

We work closely with members of the United States Congress, the Georgia Legislature, and other government and community decision makers to advance Emory's important work. We promote Emory's contributions and serve as a resource for elected officials and their staffs. We also partner with state and national professional associations to advance policy positions of interest.

If you are going to Capitol Hill or the State House, make sure to check in with our team about your upcoming visit. In order to ensure compliance with lobbying disclosure laws, please take a look at Emory’s lobbying policy here. You may email Cameron Taylor, Vice President of Government Affairs (cptaylo@emory.edu). If you would like our team to brief your program or department, please email Abby Meadors, Executive Assistant for Government Affairs (abbymeadors@emory.edu).
