We designed the annual report to be online-only with no print analog, using rich storytelling in an engaging and easy-to-navigate format.

Brand Development

Created as part of a digital-first strategy, the annual report showcases the university’s evolution in communication and storytelling in an immersive format. While reflecting on highlights from the past year, it boldly illustrates the stories of Emory’s global and local impact, of creating knowledge and educating the next generation, of transforming society, and of caring and healing.


The site is a single-page, highly visual offering of short, medium, and longer-form stories that highlight Emory’s accomplishments into six content areas, which also align with the president’s strategic priorities. By front-loading all the stories on the homepage, we encouraged repeated, shorter visits by readers, giving them a feel for the richness of the Emory enterprise in the past year.

Digital Strategy and Design

The web design and development provide a compelling, easy-to-navigate user experience regardless of platform or device, and the visual language elements and photography reinforce elements of Emory’s brand of boldly addressing the most challenging and complicated questions of the day.
