As the storytelling engine for the university and health sciences, we harvest the best stories Emory has to offer across its schools, divisions, leadership, and alumni to create engaging, shareworthy content. Using a consistent set of engagement benchmarks, we constantly evaluate organic engagement of content with target audiences, fine-tuning it and paid support to constantly evolve and improve outcomes.

Gana Ahn


Interim Executive Director for Earned and Social Media and Director of Enterprise Communications

Gana Ahn is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of university-wide media relations and thought leadership. She collaborates with various schools, departments, leadership, students, faculty, staff, and alumni to tell the best and most engaging stories Emory has to offer locally, nationally, and beyond. 

Prior to joining Emory, Ahn was director of media relations at Golin, one of the top 15 public relations firms in the world. She was with the firm for more than a decade, where she built and implemented media strategies for a variety of consumer, corporate, government, and nonprofit clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to local nonprofits. During her time at Golin, she delivered effective, award-winning campaigns for clients, cultivated relationships with a diverse range of local, trade, national and international media, and managed clients and teams across Golin’s US offices.
