Emory’s Stance in Support of Truth

The fall 2016 release of the feature film Denial, which tells the story of Holocaust historian Deborah Lipstadt's famous British libel trial, provided a singular opportunity to highlight Emory's steadfast support of academic freedom, historical truth, and a public scholar whose work represents a courageous defense of integrity and historical accuracy.

We worked with Lipstadt and the film's publicity company as she joined the cast and director for a nationwide media tour, which attracted coverage from major print and broadcast outlets both regionally and nationally. The film continued to attract media coverage as it opened in Great Britain, Europe, and Israel.

Lipstadt used these messages as a prominent feature of her many interviews in regional, national, and international outlets.
