Radio Interview, ISDN, and Digital Recording Studio Services
The Media Relations Department of Emory University provides audio codec (ISDN) services for live and recorded interviews. Audio codec provides superior quality sound and is the preferred audio transmission technology for such organizations as the BBC and NPR.
Uses for audio codec may include telephone interviews with news stations in remote locations, cross-country collaborative projects, or other communications where high-fidelity audio transmission is necessary. We are able to communicate using all of the standard audio codec settings.
We can also produce and deliver high quality digital audio files in all of the standard audio file formats.
Interview Room, Transmission and Recording Fees
Members of the Emory community may use audio codec services at no charge. Non-Emory individuals, organizations and programs will be charged $100 per hour for the first hour or any portion thereof, and $30 per hour for each additional hour. Calls may be digitally recorded for an additional fee of $30 per hour.
Reservation and Cancellation Policy
Anyone interested in reserving these services should submit a reservation request at least one week prior to the reservation date. Please complete the request form and return it as an email attachment to david.mcclurkin@emory.edu or fax to 404.727.0646. Failure to cancel a reservation prior to 24 hours in advance of the reserved time will result in a $50 cancellation fee.
